Holder of two doctorates in Law and Political Science respectively, Prof (Dr) N.V. Paranjape, is an eminent educationist, scholar and author. Professor Paranjape was the Head of the Postgraduate Department of Law, Government Law College, Bhopal. He had also served as the Head and Dean, Faculty of Law, Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur and Dean, Faculty of Law in Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
Prof (Dr) Paranjape had served as Assistant Legislative Counsel Ministry of Law and Justice, New Delhi during 1976-77. He participated in UGC’s Major Research Project on Tribal Law. He also remained a visiting fellow of the University Grant Commission (UGC), Saurashtra University, Rajkot.
The professor has authored books on various subjects and topics that include Company Law, Criminology and Penology, Legal and Constitutional History of India, Environmental Law and Management, Crime and Punishment, Code of Criminal Procedure, Arbitration Law, Jurisprudence &
Legal Theory, etc.
Recipient of many honours and awards from the Law Ministry, Government of India, Prof (Dr) Paranjape has also received the Uttar Pradesh Government’s “Pant Award” and the “Dwevedi Award” given by the Hindu Prachar Samity, Madhya Pradesh.
